[Food Compilation] Eggsy Ben!

…poached eggs, solid on the outside while runny and liquidy on the inside, paired with dollops of hollandaise sauce and warm brioche/bread, together with some ham/bacon/salmon – typical profile of an Eggs Benedict. This comfort food is enjoyed by all, all day, especially for those of us who can’t really get up early enough in the mornings to enjoy it.

1. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

Really? This widespread franchised cafe that can be found in almost any and every shopping mall in Singapore actually does serve some good Eggs Benedict! Granted it certainly isn’t the best one around, but for the price of S$12.90 with a cup of hot coffee/tea, it can be classified as decent.

*Beware of the variation between different outlets!

2. Wild Honey

Okay, this is not going to be cheap. Wild Honey, with a tagline no place like home, has a really comfortable interior, sofas and all, and serves really good comfort food.

Their all-day breakfast menu is really extensive, with Eggs Benedict alone having quite a few variations already (salmon, ham, bacon, corned beef, vegetarian options…). 2 individual perfectly poached eggs, cupped nicely in slices of prosciutto, filled with hollandaise sauce and sitting on a bed of sautéed mushrooms and warm toasted brioche – may I introduce you to their idea of a European Breakfast.
